On January 17th a reception and a concert as a tribute to the "Beltango Quintet" was hosted at the Residence of Argentina, as well as to the members of the Quintet for their artistic and professional careers, the quality and transcendence for more than twenty years of dedication to music and especially to Tango, inside and outside of Serbia.
The Ambassador Ricardo Fernandez delivered the figure of tango dancers as a dedication in special recognition to the Professor Aleksandar Nikolic and spiritus movens de Beltango.
At the concert, "Beltango Quintet" performed apart of traditional tango pieces, Astor Piazzolla’s compositions and milongas composed by Aleksandar Nikolic well known as “Balkango”.
Among the invitees were Ambassadors and Representatives of International Organizations, distinguished guests from the cultural and scientific life of Belgrade who attended and enjoyed this presentation and Tango as a spirit of the Argentina’s city music.
In the Ambassador´s Fernandez remarks he emphasized that he is proud that the Argentinean city music is renewed and is increasingly alive with this contribution in Serbia which has wisely incorporated Balkan notes that unite our peoples and our cultures even more.
